Our Beautiful Names is an exhibition of visual art work and poetry by people incarcerated in immigration detention.

Within the detention industry people are called by numbers, not names. This exhibition celebrates individual histories, stories and identity. Here, art making is a matter of survival, of resistance and reclamation of self.

We are calling artists who have experienced Australia’s immigration industry – detention camps/prison camps/concentration camps – to submit visual art work and poetry to be considered for this exhibition.
